Stewardship 2025:
Crossing with Hope Into Ministry

Crossing with Hope into Ministry is how we develop our active faith life to bring the Love of Christ into a world in need. When describing the early Christians, Acts 2: 42-47 tells us:

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Awe came upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles. All who believed were together and had all things in common; they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need. Day by day, they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.”

Just as we gather at Mass, we are called to work together as a community to bring the Love of Christ into the world. Ministry takes many forms, both within the parish and in our local and global communities. Are we ready to devote ourselves to the teaching and fellowship we hear and see at Mass? How do we use our possessions and skills to serve all in need? Do we daily spend time with the Lord and allow that experience into our daily routines, spreading goodwill to all we encounter each day?

Crossing into Hope prepares us for the journey ahead, gaining new strength and certainty by looking into the future with an open spirit, a trusting heart and a far-sighted vision of a world full of hope.
