John Hughes: Navigating the Metacrisis
Sun January 19 | 10:45 AM

John talks about what is being termed “the metacrisis,” the collective breakdown of social and ecological functioning, and how to navigate it. He presents a standard for resiliency in tough times; wake up, grow up, clean up, and show up.

Until the end of June this year, John Hughes was a spiritual care giver working in hospice for 14 years, and before that was a chaplain in inner city hospitals for 18 months. A survivor of the tragic deaths of his young wife and young mother, he raised two daughters by himself for ten years and has been a practitioner of meditation and yoga for 30 years. He has also taught meditation, of which he is a scholar. He has been closely following what is now being called “the metacrisis,” and how to navigate it, for over a decade.
