Stewardship 2023: Commitment Weekend
Thank you for considering how will invest your time, where will you use your talent and your financial gift for the coming year. This is our time to plan how we will be involved at Good Shepherd.
Time: Consider sharing your presence: at Mass, Generations of Faith, In the Spotlight, Matthew 25 Workcamp or the many opportunities we have to gather together.
Talent: You have the skills to serve our community. Do you have the gift to assist in technology, serve as a reader, baker, planner, catechist, small group leader, outreach coordinator, communion minister or acolyte, or so many more? All these volunteer opportunities are so valuable.
Treasure: Sharing financially is an important part of our parish. You have heard us speak of deficit budgets and using our savings to balance budgets. The same holds true as we plan for the new fiscal year. Currently, we anticipate additional needs from our savings and the potential of a deficit budget. At the end of the month, you will be asked to consider your financial gift for the new year. To assist with closing that gap, all of us are being asked to consider an increased gift of at least 10% in the new year. If you have given $100 per month in the past, please consider $110 in the new year; if $500, consider $550. If you have the ability, please consider taking the place of someone that cannot give at this time by doubling your gift.
You should have received your Good Shepherd Stewardship 2023 Commitment card in the mail. Please return them in the envelope provided by mail or in the collection baskets at Mass by the end of the month.
