Hosea’s Heart’s production of SCARS: UP FROM ASHES

On Monday, August 28 we are hosting a transformative and empowering performance by Hosea’s Heart called “SCARS: UP FROM ASHES”, a production that combines dance, vocals, poetry, and spoken word to tell a story of hope, forgiveness, and redemption. This international show will be touring Wisconsin, with its final performance in Hartford at the Schauer Arts Center on Monday, August 28th, and marks the culmination of a decade of Hosea’s Heart’s work and the beginning of a new vision.

Through the personal artistry of ten young women – survivors, fighters, beacons of hope – this performance raises awareness about abuse and trafficking while sharing the healing power of the Gospel. Witness their journey and join us in fighting against exploitation and advocating for a world free from sexual violence.

In addition to this special performance, we’ll hear from Deacon Steve Przedpelski, Executive Director of Franciscan Peacemakers in Milwaukee, and from Mary-Kate Martin, Executive Director of Hosea’s Heart, with an appetizer reception afterwards to celebrate…This is going to be an evening to remember!!

Who is Hosea’s Heart? “Based out of Marshall, WI, Hosea’s Heart exists to empower the girls of Swaziland (Eswatini) Africa to achieve freedom from sexual abuse and hope for a better future by serving their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through a holistic, restorative process. Through counseling, education, and the anointing of Christ, the girls in our immediate care will be holistically healed to rebuild, renew, and restore their communities.”
