Franciscan Peacemakers Award from the FBI
The work Franciscan Peacemakers does to provide a pathway to healing for women who have been sexually exploited takes time, care, and partnership. The FBI has long helped Franciscan Peacemakers identifying women needing our support—including introducing them to the first woman they supported on her healing journey.
In May, Deacon Steve Przedpelski was invited to Washington D.C. to receive the FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award in recognition of Franciscan Peacemakers’ efforts to provide holistic healing, housing, employment, and educational resources to women who have been sexually exploited in Wisconsin as they recognize their inherent worth and escape from lives marred by prostitution, sex trafficking, and addiction.
At Franciscan Peacemakers, they continue to be awed by the strength and determination of the survivors and the hope seen in the successes. But they know many are lost before reaching Franciscan Peacemaker’s doorstep and find a path to healing
Your partnership and prayers brings transformative change to the lives of women in Wisconsin.
PEACE & ALL GOOD
