November 3—Mind Within Matter: The Impact of Consciousness
on Physical Well-being With Philip Chard

Extensive research shows how certain states of consciousness deeply influence health and physical well-being. We will examine the mysterious placebo effect, so-called “mind over matter,” how different types of consciousness create their own unique biology, and the capacity of awareness, beliefs and expectations to directly affect physiology. Attendees will learn actionable steps for using mental processes to enhance physical health.

December 1—Spiritual Indifference: A Look at Ignatian Spirituality
with Jon Metz

Join us for our session examining Ignatian and Jesuit spirituality. When his life did not go according to his plan, Ignatius had to learn how to see the world in a different way. He developed a method of discernment called the Spiritual Exercises, and he adopted the worldview of “Finding God in All Things.” In this session we will learn about this theology and examine how it is applicable to our lives.

January 19—Navigating the Metacrisis
with John Hughes 

John talks about what is being termed “the metacrisis,” the collective breakdown of social and ecological functioning, and how to navigate it. He presents a standard for resiliency in tough times; wake up, grow up, clean up, and show up.
