Year of Hope Events

Day of Reconciliation, Reparation, and Fasting

Archbishop Grob has asked that the faithful observe April 9 as a Day of Reconciliation, Reparation, and Fasting. “The Sacrament of Penance assures us that God wipes away our sins.” Thus we are invited to Reconciliation on this day, where confessions will be heard across the archdiocese. We are also asked to make small acts of reparation on this day. Reparation is “making amends for a wrong done or for an offense, especially for sin, which is an offense against God.” Thus we are invited to atone for sins against those who are the most vulnerable, those who suffer from exclusion, indifference, poverty, hunger and the tragedy of war. In conjunction with our reconciliation with the Lord, and as we make reparation, the day has also been set aside as a day of fasting.

12 Hours of Reconciliation: Wednesday April 9

Bring Your Marriage Home!

Archbishop Jeffrey S. Grob extends a special invitation to civilly married couples to explore having their marriage recognized by the Church, known as convalidation. The Church cares for you and desires you to have all the graces available and to allow you to return to the reception of the sacraments. Talk to Deacon Sandy Sites to learn more.

Zeal for the Lord’s House Campaign

To accommodate the men who will be our future priests, the Saint Francis de Sales Seminary urgently needs to restore and expand its historic campus. To ensure priestly formation will continue in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, pick up a campaign booklet at the church entrance table and learn more about how you can contribute to this initiative.
