The Pastoral Care of Good Shepherd is Strong and Growing
Pastoral Care has been busy. We have added communion services to senior housing in the area. The Prayer Shawl Project now includes “Pocket Prayer” – knitted squares and hearts that are prayed over by the talented parishioners and friends who make them. Our hope is to reestablish a bereavement follow up program with the addition of a volunteer coordinator, so consider how God might be calling you.
Advent began with a sacred moment of Anointing during Mass. Thank you to our priests, for their faithful ministry and all of you who came forward and experienced the healing power of the Holy Spirit. We are continuing to reach out to our homebound with beautiful hand made cards by a group who gather to make them every month. The annual Christmas card has received tremendously positive feedback thanks to a very faithful and dedicated parishioner. Our parish family is strong and supportive of one another in so many ways. Great thanks to everyone during this blessed season.
