Parish Lenten Almsgiving Project: Right to Learn

What is our parish almsgiving for this year? Rice Bowl? Heifer Project? How about Right to Learn!

Parishioner Jenny Grieb approached our Outreach Committee and Christian Formation staff this year about the needs of a newly formed school for Haitian children located in the Dominican Republic.
Established in November of 2024, they have now outgrown their initial structures and are expanding. The needs of the community are great, so we asked what specific things the kids need for schooling. They responded with a list of school supplies for us to collect throughout Lent.

† See the marvelous “School Bus” display Mary Oswald created in the narthex.

† Pick up a “crayon” that has an item needed for the students.

† Return the items to fill the school bus during Lent.
