Finance Council Thanks You for Coming!

The Parish Finance Council wishes to thank all who attended the annual financial report meetings. We were delighted to convey how financially strong we are as a parish. The council will look into thoughts presented by parishioners.
Three topics were:

  1. Continuation of giving to Love One Another (LOA)
    a. You may continue giving by contacting Cynthia Rusnak at rusnakc@archmil.org
    b. It was suggested that because of continuing capital expenditure needs that it might better serve to
donate funds directly to the parish because Good Shepherd receives 60% of LOA gifts
  2. There is a desire to see the percentage of contributions designated to Outreach increase
  3. There is discussion on how best to address continuing capital expenditures
    a. A parishioner suggested hiring a consultant to assess our current needs and present a 7-year plan.
    b. Deacon Sandy presented that any considerations include whether we continue to invest in major
renovations for our aging building or consider an extended campaign to replace the current facilities.

These topics will be discussed in future Finance Council meetings, and the parish will be updated on discussions and decisions as appropriate.

You will find Annual Financial Review booklets at any church door or in the weekly email if you wish to see the information presented. Also, Saturday’s meeting was recorded and available on Good Shepherd’s YouTube page.
