Anti-Human Trafficking Month: Called to Be a Voice
By Monica Schultz
I became involved in the anti-human trafficking committee in 2008 with Barb Messerknecht and Sr. Patrice Coletta. We worked diligently to be a voice for innocent victims of trafficking. I felt a real calling from God to be an active member of the committee and continue to raise awareness to those thinking this crime happens only in 3rd world countries.
God continues to connect me with people who are knowledgeable and passionate about human trafficking and how complicated it is. My Faith has led me to believe God has a reason why this form of modern day Slavery needs our undivided attention and to share our experiences with others more now than ever.
