First Reading: Jeremiah 23:1-6 (click for reading)
Psalm: Psalm 23: The Lord is My Shepherd
Please remain seated as the cantor sings the psalm
Refrain: The Lord is my shepherd, whom shall I fear?
To pastures green he leads me.
With waters cool and clear and clear,
He refreshes my soul.
1.Though I walk in the shadow of death, no evil will I fear. For you are with me; your rod and your staff are near.
2.He prepares me a banquet in front of my foes; anoints me with oil, my cup overflows.
3.Surely good things will follow me all the days of my life. I will live in the house of the Lord for ever and evermore.

Profession of Faith
I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
Amen.

Bless us, O Lord, our God
We are the light of the world;
may our light shine before all,
that they may see the good that we do,
and give glory to God.

Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.
I can feel his mighty power and his grace.
I can hear the brush of angel’s wings.
I see the glory on each face.
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place.
