Pencils & Glue Sticks for the Win
A big thank you to all who donated to the school supply drive. We collected more than 3600 supplies with pencils and glue sticks as the top two donations. The wonderful thing about Good Shepherd is that like glue, we “stick” together to help those in need. Thanks to you, many children will start the school year with a backpack full of supplies which provides the preparation and confidence they need to be successful.
We donated supplies to places dedicated to helping kids in their area: Greater New Birth Church who combined supplies with Brentwood Church of Christ, serves children on the northwest side of Milwaukee. The Cathedral Center, a homeless shelter for women and children, in downtown Milwaukee. St. Michaels Church, in Milwaukee, blessed by Sr. Alice, helps many immigrant families, Spanish, and Hmong children.
