Prayer Shawl Ministry:
Pocket Prayer Square
We are expanding our prayer shawl ministry to include “pocket” prayer squares. They are made with love and prayer and are easy to keep with you. Creation of these little blessings is fairly quick. If you have a bit of extra time and would like to contribute to those in our community who are hurting please consider knitting/crocheting these wonderful prayer tools. The instructions are:
Knit or crochet a 3 x 3 square for a person to put in their pocket. This will remind them that they are not alone and prayers are with them. You may use any yarn, pattern or needle size that will make a 3 x 3 square. Attach this prayer to it when finished:
Pocket Prayer
Lay this safely on your palm.
Feel God’s grace, God’s love and calm.
Lift your cares and joys in prayer,
drawing peace from this little square.
