Blessing Our Delegates to Ellacuria, El Salvador

My dear friends, with this blessing we relive a practice of the early Church, the sending of some of its members to other peoples. The sending of these delegates to Ellacuria (Oct 26-Nov 1) will strengthen our bond of communion with them. We will light vigil candles to be kept burning for the duration of our delegates’ visit to Ellacuria.

Lord, look kindly on these your servants. We send them forth as messengers of salvation and peace. Guide their steps with Your mighty arm, and with the power of Your grace strengthen them in Spirit, so that they will not falter through weariness. God of inspiration, move our minds to dwell on the awareness that You are with them on their journey. Amen!
