UWM has initiated a project called “Mapping Racism and Resistance” to determine the extent of restricted, “whites only” housing covenants in Milwaukee County between 1910-1960s.
The work is done from home using your device to search deeds. The results will be mapped for a visual picture of systemic racism. Only one hour of training is required and the program is easy to use (even I can do it!) Donate a little time or a lot, any amount is appreciated. Be a part of this exciting housing justice project!
